AJ Says . . .

Greetings Readers,
It really bugs me that AJ's response comes on the heels of a Certain Husband's comment on yesterday's blog regarding the gabbiness of women.

So we haven't mastered the Art of Brevity.  pbbbbbbtt!  I don't make that sound as well as Hanne M. does, but she wasn't here to help.

With that said, here is AJ's response to sweet Eva.  The remarks in PURPLE are mine (Lisa):

Hi, (simple, direct)

This is AJ (he takes nothing for granted). Nice to meet you, Eva. (Polite) I feel a little awkward about this and not quite sure what to say (honest, can talk about his feelings). I would like to learn more about you (an avid life-long learner)  It looks like we have quite a bit in common.(able to analyze, deduce, and infer) Boy, my Mom's a character! (master of the understatement) Would your Mom have done this matchmaking thing? (he cares about others--it's not just about him)  Gotta love her! (able to love a person for exactly the crazy person she is)  LOL (sense of humor) Looking forward to getting to know you (a forward, proactive thinker) although I'm a bit intimidated because you're much prettier (not blind) than I am (self-depracating)-AJ (willing to play along).

Okay, So there we have it!  As soon as AJ gives permission, I'll forward his email address to Eva, and then we will step away and let them get to know one another on their own--got that Red?

Till Tomorrow.

  2. Greetings Readers, (simple, direct)

It really bugs me (a little emotional, okay) that AJ's response comes on the heels of a Certain Husband's comment on yesterday's blog regarding the gabbiness of women. (do I sense a bit of testiness here?)

So we haven't mastered the Art of Brevity. (pithy) pbbbbbbtt! I don't make that sound as well as Hanne M. does,(yes, Lisa recognizes talent!) but she wasn't here to help. (I wasn't asked... **plbbbbbttttt**)

With that said, here is AJ's response to sweet Eva. The remarks in PURPLE (she wants attention) are mine (Lisa):(Just so no one mistakes just who the boss is around here...)

    How'd I do??? :D ROFL

  3. I've said it before, but Maddie and I JUST don't deserve the caliber of reader we have.

If you and Cat were here, I'd wrap you each up in one big over-emotional arm.

    No more caffeine for me.

  4. Clearly, someone's husband needs to get in touch with his inner Oprah and EMBRACE the social e-interchange as an inevitable wave of the future, or, um, present.

Because at the very least it give him an idea into what we talk about when the objects o our attention aren't around.

Also, AJ is lucky to have you a his chaperone. Many's a young man who could have used a bit of wisdom/humor in his search for just the right 'right one.'

  6. Oh, Yenta! Do you have any idea how hard it is to just sit and wait for the next move? You've tied my hands and I can't meddle. After all, I'm obedient, no? But, I have an idea that something is going on. AJ is surprisingly quiet but there's a little sparkle in his eye and a little grin that wasn't there a few days ago. Do you think that's a good sign? When can I ask what's going on? I don't dare say too much, but how much is too much? Or, should I say, how little is too little? Is there a balance here?

How much can I meddle without actually meddling?
