In an unprecedented move, Timmy Boyle has requested a 24-hour (in zulu time) extension regarding The Vote for Stainless Steel Membership between B. LaBuff and A. Wiley. As Mr. Boyle is being rather tight-lipped, there is no substantiated motivation available at this time for such a request. Mik Chiks speculate his Monday Morning Blog might have something to do with it.Lisa has a bad feeling about this, but since her candidate L. LaBuff is trailing pitifully, she's willing to ignore her better judgment. She doesn't want you to try this at home.
Because A. Wiley is a confident, yet kind opponent, she and her representation feel this will not jeopardize the successful outcome on her behalf. In Fact, several reports came in from O'Malley's last night, where M. Mikitarian was overheard shouting, "Our opponent's so far behind, that if she wins this election, I'll shave my 'ed."
The Federal Elections Committee could not be reached for a ruling—therefore, extension is granted.

Well, I suppose my nerves can handle waiting one more day. Beth, do you have nieces? I think it only fair that since mine rallied for me, you should get some to rallie for you (unless you have ten nieces, and then I don't think they should all count, naturally).
ReplyDeleteLisa, as much as the spectical of you with a shaved head would be amusing, your hair is much too beautiful to be shead, so I'd advise watching the numbers of nieces Beth has.
...I was just about to write my concession speech..
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought to appeal to nieces, Amy... I actually have 13 nieces. :) But don't worry, I think the only family member that voted for me was my dear Mom. :)
Lisa, I just found a box full of absentee ballots. Would you like me to count them and report the number of votes back to you?
ReplyDeleteK - first of all what is growing on your 'ed now?
ReplyDeleteSecondly, how wise is it getting someone involved who is constantly throwing in extra "U"s every chance he can?
The vUrdict is in.

ReplyDeleteGood news, Lisa R S W F H Mikitarian! I've just finished tallying the absentee ballots and they give us a clear lead.

Woo-Hoo! And with only 10 zulu mintues left before the polls close, we should have this sealed--especially if there's no objection from the opposition in that time-frame!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMan I love those stars!
uh-oh.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, was this ballot box left unattended at any time? Was it from, let me guess, King County? How many of the votes are from dead people? How many are from nieces? How many are from people who don't have internet access?
ReplyDeleteMaddie, have you done a thorough
investigation?

ReplyDeleteI found the ballot box. I'm sure everything was done through legal channels. :)

On behalf of Team Maddie, I hereby reject all absentee ballots, by reason that there was no allowance in the rules for ballot box voting, and no way for Team Maddie to verify these alleged votes.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous, While it is true when you say, "there was no allowance in the rules for ballot box voting"... The rules do state that the voting can be "publicly or anonymously" and all the ballots in the ballot box were anonymous votes. Therefore I submit that they be allowed to count.
