Hold the Phone!

READERS!
That's a lot of imperatives, but this behavior has gotten way out of hand!
Don't make us turn this car around!

Look, I know we all got a little excited because the last post was pretty hilarious, but really, the mayhem that is happening in that commentary is propogating a dangerous insurrection.

It's gotten so bad that we feel it is necessary to post a Saturday Morning blog to help put this fire out.

First of all, I'd like to address all the flip-floppers out there who claim they can't be forced to choose between B. LaBuff and A. Wiley. Life dictates that we pick sides! You've got two choices:  Angelic Blondie or A. Wiley.  Your blog needs you now, and we do offer a Voter Protection Program if you vote FOR A. Wiley and feel that B. LaBuff threatens you or your family. Hope you like Nebraska!

Mari--We consider ourselves to be benevolent dictators. We also consider the fact that your rubric for casting your vote was rather extensive and we respect that and the fact that you've been on some painkillers.

Verna and Jan--After some discussion, we have decided that yes you may have a Senior Citizen pass to Stainless Steel Status. Between the hours of 4PM and 5:30PM. Also, if you come to our houses we will provide free coffee for you and your guests. That's the best we can do.

As an aside, don't think this has been easy for us.  It was just our luck to adore the two nicest people in the known free world.  On top of that Amy was Lisa's #1 Fan in a recent Facebook Survey.  How do you think that makes Lisa feel to be the opposition.  As another aside, Lisa would like to say that she grossly underestimated this pint-sized competitor.  That girl's connected!

The current vote stands as follows:
A. Wiley -- 11
B. LaBuff -- 3

Which officially makes B. LaBuff the underdog.  It's time to rally for this gem, folks.  Did you read her speech in the comments section of yesterday's blog?  Stellar, I tell you.  Simply Stellar.

The Polls (which will close Sunday the 17th at 1700 hrs zulu time) are OPEN now--go Rock the Vote, Baby!

XOXO
Lisa and Maddie

  1. I'm thinking Mari has shared her pain pills with this here gang. What is going on? Causing division within your loyal ranks, Lisa? I wasn't going to take sides but the voice of reason must speak:) (That would be me, just to clarify.)

If...if I were to vote on this silly thing, I would definitely vote for the middle ager. We all have to stick together. Are you with me...all you who had to find your reading glasses before you could even attempt to look at this post?

We must stick together! Any others of the gray-haired or white-haired (or covered up by Loreal of course)persuasion that wants to come help our dear Beffers from the tyranny of youth?

I love you, Miss Wiley, but...you have your whole life ahead of you to attain the goal of... ummmm ...what is the prize?

  2. Thanks for the "short lived" pass in honor of my a d v a n c e d age.

Forced to a decision, I'll have to cast a vote for my "twin," (though she's a few "minutes" younger(. That would be Beth. I do kinda resent you callin' her a dog, though.

  3. Current Standings:
*A. Wiley is held at 11

*Beth has marched up to 6

*Jan and Verna-Seniors running on same rickety platform--have elbowed their way to 1 as the result of Karlene triple voting

*Pat the Independent (how fitting) has voted for herself--which doesn't count as we have no petition on file.

  4. Have you researched all those anonymous vote? I smell a recount. Either that or I may start some anonymous vote rally myself.

  5. Consider me officially filed. : )

  6. HEY, are you accusing me of fake voting, Mari? And I'm not even in Seattle or Florida. No, I actually have no idea who one of the anonymous votes is from and I do know who one of them is and it's a very legitimate FWer who is NOT me. Just to clarify.

AND for those using the age card, you do all realize that despite my adorable baby-face, I'm not actually that young, right? I mean, I'm not exactly old--somewhere nicely in the middle, I think.

And I do want to point out one interesting thing that some of you may have overlooked. In the original debate, all of my exhibits were general fun remarks to easily be enjoyed and giggled over by the entire populace. B, on the other hand, had exhibits primarily for the enjoyment of one Lisa of Many Names. Just saying...

I think this is definitely getting out of hand, Lisa. It's obvious this must stop now. I think voting should be officially closed.

  7. As to grey hair, if that qualifies one for a Stainless Steel membership, at least between 1600 and 1730 hours, count me in! You can ask my oh-so-well-connected baby sister to verify this for you. ^_^

I would love to come to your house and I won't even ask for coffee. I might trouble you for a spot of tea or a cup of cocoa, however.

I may not be old as counted from the event of my birth; yet if you ask my bones, they will most clearly tell you I'm old--quite, quite old indeed.

  8. If I may cut in.

I have just come across this little competition now - Which is roughly 10:32 Zulu time. I have much to say, but am heading off to another show.

I will have to present my final analysis at a later time (but before the deadline). Please cease with the comments because there is more than enough for me to sort through as it is.

    Have a good one,

  9. Amy does have a point there . . . her humor is more easily-deciphered, unintentional, and geared toward a more general audience. Her comments made me giggle. Lisa's I had to read 2 or 3 times before I "got" them. That *could* be evidenced of the fact that Amy and I have a similar sense of humor--not surprising, since we're related.

But Amy, I do have to disagree that you're middle aged. You're my baby sister, after all, and *I'm* not middle aged yet. :) Although you are not as young as you look.

I still vote for Amy. And so do my three little girls, who think Aunt Amy is hilarious.

  10. Ouch, Purple Kangaroo--those four extra votes hurt.

    Current Standings:

    *A. Wiley - 17

*Beth has marched up to 8--Rally family and friends of Beth!

*Jan and Verna and now Rita (no, Hanne--but nice try)-you share a single vote.

*Pat--oooh, it seems you missed the deadline by six zulu minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  11. You called me Hanne? That's okay... I don't mind being taken for Hanne, and I still love you, Lisa. Maddie, too. <3

    ReplyDelete
  12. I needed to add you to the wannabe's, Janelle--Hanne was also trying to sneak into Senior Citizen Status. To BOTH of you: nice try:)

    And we love you <3.

  13. Six Zulu minutes? I think not my friend. I have several Zulu contacts that may beg to differ on that point.

But since you, being a staunch and upright American, I shall not call upon them to come to my defense for the 100PG. (100% Pure Gold position AKA Pat Guy)

Let those who want to settle for Sterling Silver, settle.

I shall now go and celebrate with my Zulu friends in our lovely garb.

    : )

  14. Pat: You are pure gold!

    A. Wiley has moved up to 19 votes.

  15. My vote goes to Jan and Verna and Rita. Would you care to add me in there, too? Frankly, I do believe your resistance to allowing the local Seniors full SS membership is unfair. When all the hoopla dies down, we'll still be here as steady, faithful readers.

So, I cast FOUR votes: 1 for Jan, 1 for Verna, 1 for Rita, and 1 for Red.

Let's hear it for Seniors! Hip-Hip-Hooray! Hip-Hip-Hooray! Hip-Hip-Horray! (Goodness, one more, and I'll have to have my hip replaced!!!)

    Love,
    Red
