We at Connecting Now are in want of coNUNdrums—surely we (together with our Readers) have not solved them all!  Or perhaps you really have no problems, may we point out that this is a spectacular opportunity to take the plank from your neighbor's eye.  Perhaps he or she has a coNUNdrum that he or she is not even aware of.  That's where your acute coNUNdrum detection skills can come in.

Or perhaps you'd like to take a less hypocritical approach.

It's come to my (Lisa's Pride) attention that some of you think I was serious with the last coNUNdrum, and that perhaps I think of myself as a Princess or that women should walk two paces behind men.  I feel the need to dispel this inaccuracy.

Dear MikChiks,

Here's a minor annoyance for you to solve...no wait, I'll admit it. It's a major annoyance, and frankly, I'm not sure you can fix this one.

My husband and I like to travel to new and unfamiliar places. That's the key word: unfamiliar. I'm a pretty timid and nervous person, and while I love the adventure of traveling, there's a constant niggling fear in the back of my mind that I'll get lost or separated from him.

Do you recall us saying that our video/film careers only had one direction in which they could proceed?  Yeah, well--we were wrong.  And this video is our proof.  And let this be a warning to you to never--and we mean NEVER--make us responsible for the recording of an important event in your life.

Congratulations Danny and Rachel! May your marriage be more successful than this video was. Special thanks to June Bride (and friends and family) for taking us along on your trip to the altar.  We will never forget it.

This is Not the Blogpost You Were Looking For...

No More Underestimating

Dear Readers,

This is not the blogpost you were looking for, assuming that you were looking for a June Bride's Wedding Vlog.  We can tell you the event was beautiful:  we went, we cried, we video-taped.  We can also tell you we (grossly) underestimated the time it would take to edit what we taped.  

Underestimating:  a persistent verb in our sentence structures. 

Hence we have no blog post. 

Pitiful.

On another related yet unrelated note, I (Lisa) underestimated the pull my California friends and family would have regarding our 30^th High School Reunion/visit--a coNUNdrum we discussed HERE.  The reality is if I don't go out now, it will be years before I get out there. 

We Mikitarian's tend to underestimate how quickly time fugets.

Unbelievable Request From June Bride's Mom--Plus Purses!

You are not going to believe this--heck, we can't believe this--and we've been in cahoots with "unbelievable" more than once.   You may recall that a Friend of June Bride wrote in a couple of months ago asking for Wedding Dress Help.  As is not unusual, our advice was for naught. Well, in a surprising sequel to the story, June Bride's Mother contacted us and asked if the  "The MikChiks" would film June Bride's Wedding.

We called for purses, and you provided—and aren't there quite a few surprises in the mix!

There at least you have a fifty/fifty chance of guessing right.

While I think I have a pretty good handle on all the topics mentioned above (especially the mate match), I am severely challenged in one area…well probably more than one but let’s stay focused on my problem at hand.

There's so much going on today.  First Madeline is off at the beach visiting Shaunbay and Ashley.  Shaunbay you may remember from our Ohio Trip.  The Girls reported in yesterday:  having A Blast.

I (Lisa) am NOT at the beach.  Just thought I'd point that out.

We were going to bring you a gem of a post today—The Great Purse coNUNdrum—but changed our minds for two reasons. 

First, Madeline insisted on going to The Beach.  Where I am not.

Good Wednesday Morning, Readers!!!

We are down-right excited today as we bring your our first-ever video--sort of a docu-drama.  We're warning you now, though, it's not award-winning or even mildly entertaining. I (Lisa) wasn't sure about the whole camera thing, so wasn't my usual bubbly self. And I (Maddie) wasn't thrilled with donating my leg--something Dear Old Mom refused to do! On the up side, there's only one direction for our film career to go from here.
